A girl in Doha

We must recognize that arabic culture and civilization are fascinating for many of us. So fascinating to me that I decided to move with my husband in Qatar, specifically in Doha. I want to share with you what it means to live in an Arab country, to be a Romanian woman, Christian, in the land of Allah.
I had the first contact with the Arab world in January 2014. What really shocked me was not that it was warm and humid, but the fact that it gets dark very early (5:30 p.m.). As a tip you need to know: there is no public transport, just a few buses that I personally have not seen. And there is no subway. There are cabs instead but you can not command them, just take them off the street. Their stations are generally at the airport or shopping malls. As far as I'm concerned the solution is to rent a car if you plan to stay a couple of years. Short term is a good investment. Long term I advise you to buy one.
The first day on the way to the Fuwairit beach I saw what dessert means. It was really amazing to see camels, to feel the wind, to smeel the dust. Pfiu! Incredible! I am a sun lover and I really enjoy the weather in Qatar.

Next stop was at the Museum of Islamic Art, the most amazing museum in Qatar and is also one of the attractions to be seen.

As advice for visitors: not to be missed Corniche Boulevard, on the coast, which connects the airport with the city's business center.

The West Bay, which is considered one of the most prominent districts, is like Dubai but smaller.
I recommend you to try Vapiano Italian restaurant in West Bay, where I'm sure that you will eat the best pizza in your life. This is near Gate mall.

The last miracle of Qatar, is the neighborhood "The Pearl" unfinished yet, an artificial island, a spectacular exhibition of grandeur and luxury that has seemed to be honestly very westernized: you can admire there the great designer shops, luxury car dealerships, cafes and terraces.
